I'm hoping this is posted in the appropriate place - I'm open to suggestions otherwise! I'm a Triumph TR6 guy but have a buddy who bought a small shop with a bunch of British parts - many for the TR6 but I'm writing about this one particular engine. The guy who sold the shop passed away but told my buddy this engine came from a running vehicle. I'll give the particulars here but we're hoping to sell this engine in order to fund some other projects. Here's the relevant information:

Based on a plate stamped "29GA / R c / H 2848" it appears to be a 2912cc engine from a '67 to '69 US-market MGC. It is quite heavy so I think this is probably correct. I have some pictures posted but you can see the engine is remarkably complete. It has the full block, heads, distributor, oil filter housing, valve cover, torque converter, intake manifold with SU carbs, exhaust manifolds, water pump and some hoses. I removed the plugs and used a borescope to see very clean bores, no scoring or wall damage, and no moisture present. It is sitting on a pallet so I cannot turn over the engine. It is located in a small shop in Salado, TX (Salado is between Austin and Waco right on I35) and I can make arrangements for someone to look at it if desired.
