On another Forum, someone mentioned being able to search for recalls. I did on search on the MGB and found this:

Make: MG
Model: MGB
Model Year: 1968
Manufacturer: JAGUAR CARS
Mfr's Report Date: MAY 20, 1968
NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number: 68V055000 N/A
NHTSA Action Number: N/A
Component: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:SWITCHES:BRAKE WARNING
Potential Number of Units Affected: 47
Summary:

Consequence:

Remedy:

Notes:
POSSIBILITY OF HYDRAULIC BRAKE FLUID LEAKAGE FROM THE BRAKE WARNING LIGHT SWITCH. THE LEAKAGE OF THIS FLUID WILL NOT INTERFERE WITH THE PROPER FUNCTIONOF THE SWITCH. (CORRECT BY INSPECTION AND RECTIFICATION IF NECESSARY.)

So, seems there are TWO Jaguars in my garage....and I didn't know!!

And good to know that the leaking fluid won't interfere with the operation of the switch...<whew>...now if that little issue of NOT STOPPING can be overcome!!

People who drive LBC's really shouldn't be throwing stones.

I've got three flathead V-8 Ford powered machines, each at least 60 years old.

How old is your LBC, again?

We certainly don't have the Ghost of Lucas running around in the electrics.
Don't need PCV valves.
No valve covers to leak.
However, we do have nice rope main seals that allows us to mark our territory, although not as heavily as some of these LBC's.

no, come on - tell us what you really think. :jester: (I've actually historically been a Ford fan too)
