I have a 741/2 MGBGT and I would like to install a rear sway bar from a78. Inow have a bar with end bushings and mounting bushings and brackets,however I can't find any information on where or how to install it. I would appreciate if someone could give me a drawing or info on how to install it.

You would need to have a 77-80 rear end to mount the swaybar to (unless you are into welding) and then you have to fashion brackets to your shell (again, welding).
 
There are after market sway bars that will really make your car corner like it's on rails but you should upgrade the front also to maintain balance.

I mounted a late 80's rear bar (and front also) on my early 76B a couple of years ago. I made up brackets that welded up under the rear deck, and brackets that welded to the rear axle. All 1/8" plate. I don't know if I saved my sketches, I'll take a look. I know I made cardboard templates first. I removed the battery and gas tank,(possible scources of explosions) as I was replacing mine anyway. It allows much more room to work on the axle. I drained the oil out, had the brackets ready to fit, and used a mig welder to purge the axle housing with CO2 to reduce the possibility of oil film catching on fire within the axle. I then used a series of tack welds to keep heat to a minimum. Remove the carpeting from the rear deck, both top and front before welding brackets to body, and tape your seatbelts out of the way.They tend to fall right on the backside where you are welding.(Ask how I know this!) When finished, before refilling rear axle, I GENTLY blew air into the rear axle to clear smoke and purge CO2, as it can have a corrosive effect over time. (I know it does in pipelines). The addition of anti roll bars, and alloy wheels with new tires absolutely transformed the way the car handles. I will be repacing front lower bushings with V8 style soon, and am considering fabricating a panhard rod for rear this winter just for giggles.
