MGB MGB with Leaky brakes?

The B seems to have a spongy brake pedal. Pump it and it works fine, but let off and it drops lower but you can pump it up.
No sign of leakage.
Decided to flush the system and I used a syringe to empty the master cylinder reservoir and then topped off with clean fluid. But every brake has streams of bubbles when when using a vacuum pump to suck the fluid through the brake actuator.
I have put grease around the bleeder screws so the air is coming from in the system.
Is this a firm indication of a bad Master cylinder with an internal leak?
As I stated I don't see any fluid leaks.
Other ideas?
Thanks

You still get the spongy pedal? It pumps up solid still and then lets off?

Kit or R2 the master cylinder. Brakes

Just a quick sanity check. I have pulled the master cylinder.
I wanted to check that the rest of the lines and cylinders were air tight.
So I attached a vacuum pump to each line that was attached to the M.C. one at a time and pumped it down. Both pumped down and held a vacuum. I think this would verify that the lines, connections and seals in the wheel cylinders and calipers are all air tight?
Would everyone agree?
Thanks
