MGB MGB Steering Rack Help

I've got the steering rack out of my B and am trying to rebuild it. I've got all the parts disassembled except for the steering rack bush (#75 in the Haynes illustration). I've got the screw out but can't seem to remove the bush. There is some wear on the bush so I'd like to replace it.

Has anyone got an idea how to get this crazy thing out?

Thanks

I don't know if this will help, but I looked up the description in my workshop manual. It says "To remove the rack housing bush, unscrew the self tapping screw retaining it and carefully drive the bush out."

From the picture in the book, the only thing that I can see to do is to put a long rod through from the other end and against the inside lip of the bush. If you can find one that will fit inside the end opposite the bush, but not through the bush itself, you should be able to use it to tap the bush out.

I hope this helps. Good luck.
