MGB MGB Sport Wheels

I am in the midst of some restoration work on my 74-1/2 MGB. I want to add some sport wheels. I am not in love with the standard MG wheels. Will other automobile wheels fit? Looking for someone with some experience replacing the stock wheels.

Thanks

There was a thread a while ago that dealt with this very topic, even listing wheels with the same dimensions and offset. If you need alloys, there are several types available at a reasonable price, and you can even get Minilitestyle wheels. I'll try to find the thread.

I've heard of uning Miata wheels but a spacer is needed. I know Tony Barnhill (The Autoist) told me about this so talk to him and he should be able to tell you what the spacer needs to be to get a proper fit.

As mentioned before in other threads –

Many of the Datsun Z-car wheels work fine. I am running a set I got on Ebay for less than $200 (including shipping) that look great. They are aftermarket made by Western Wheels that has been out of business for years but you can still find them from time to time. Matter-a-fact I saw a nice looking set on ebay about a week or so back.

Bret's Wheels

The center cap are my own creation - fabricated using some generic caps & attaching some MG Rostyle logo caps to them.
