Hi. Just joined the Forum. I recently purchased a 1972 MGB for restoration. Searching the web I found this site which seems friendly and very knowledgeable. Looking forward to picking brains and contributing when possible. I'm retired bureaucrat and the son of a life long mechanic. My automobile knowledge comes from father son osmosis and summers spent working (I use the term loosely) at my dad's garage. OK, time to disassemble the oxidized beauty.

Thank you. Your picture brings up a painful memory. In 2003 I lived in New York and was offered a 1965 AH 3000 in good condition for $9,000. I passed because I had nowhere to store it. Now that I see what they are going for I could kick myself for not getting a storage facility in NY. Oh well, live and learn. BTW, a guy in France bought the car and had it shipped there.

We all have stories of the "One that Got Away" at some point in time. $9K for a nice AH 3000. Yep; You let that one get away from yourself.

Welsome, hope you find it useful and interesting here.... And yes, recent exchange rate fluctuations have favored repatriating some cars. That's what I did....
