Hello,I have a 72 mg.It tracks straight normally. However ,when I accelerate quickly ,it veers to the rt.and does the opposite when I let off the gas.Its as if the rar axle is changing angle.
Does anyone have any ideas.Thanks,Ben

Most likely the shackle bolts are loose. Other cause could be worn out front bushings on the leaf springs.

Tighten the U bolts that hold the axle to the springs. It will make a huge difference. BTDTGTTS.

See? :jester:

& while you're tightening those u-bolts under the axle - look closely at the spring front shackle bolts - they also might be loose if the bushings are bad.....if you remove the bolts from those shackles to replace the bushings, look to see that the holes haven't elongated.

Heck, while you're under there just replace the rear shackle bushings with polyurethane items and the spring pads between the axle and the spring mounts with poly items as well. That will definitely tighten up the rear. Tony can get you a good price on the bushings, he did for me and the Midget is very grateful. :yesnod:

Might as well, do all the bushings while you're there, Bill.
