My feet and the driver's side rug has been getting damp the last few weeks, so I ordered a new master cylinder. The brown truck dropped it off the other day and I'm installing it today. Right now, I'm tired (too much bending!) so I'm taking a break. I have to say, the "replica" cylinder does look good. Made in China, so hope it works OK. We'll see.......
Since you have to take out the cylinder/pedal mount anyway, I bought a rebuild kit for the clutch cylinder too. It's not leaking right now, but it was pretty ugly inside so I'm glad I'm doing it.
The cylinder/pedal mount area was filled with acorns....gee, thanks, squirrels! :madder:
So I've cleaned up the entire area and brushed on some touch-up paint. Removed the pedals and painted/greased them too. I *should* pull the engine and all the wires and hydraulics and do a real nice job on the engine bay.....but this thing is a driver, not a show car.
The brakes have been a teeny bit soft, so I hope this job takes care of that.
