I have found what I believe is a early MGB OD trans.

Is there a demand for this equal to the 4 sncro model.

I have no idea what the guy wants for it but I want to offer him a reasonable price.

I have no idea on function or condition.

sn is 25/63308/018794.

They are more rare than the later 4-sync types. The demand is less but only because there are fewer early cars. The rarity often makes it more valuable than the later ones though. I paid $250 for one in need of rebuild a couple years ago. I'm actually looking for another!

If the price is right, I would jump on it. While my box (3 sync) was recently rebuilt, I would love to have an OD for the 65.

Ditto. I can put a later one in but having an early OD to match the year might be nice.

I have two OD 3-syncro transmissions, one is basically good (PO said that it pops out of 3rd but everything else works) and the other has completely blown 2nd & 3rd gears. Both are SUPPOSED to have good OD's. I plan to put a Datsun 510 5-speed in my MGB. If you want to buy them I'll sell.

Bill - PM me the particulars...do you have the shift levers? do you have the electrical/vacuum items for the firewall?

I only have one shifter "stick" but both transmissions have the remote assy. I have one of the vacuum sensor units and have a relay but it is shot (it is still avail from Moss) The wiring is toasted (reason for the relay being bad) and do have the round washer to go around the OD dash switch but the switch is bad (ditto). I need to keep the angle drive for the speedo cable since that is the only one I have.
I guess that I would sell the complete trans (with the extra parts) for $400.00 and the basic trans with the blown teeth for $250.00 (shipping included for both)
