MGB MGB Just Arrived

One of our managers at work finally got his MGB over here from home today. He's British, and has been waiting for it for over a month.
'66, Old English White, black interior with white piping, overdrive and Minilites. RHD, of course.
I'll see if I can get some pictures the next time he drives it in. It's a sweet looking B

Sweet!! We had a lovely red '67 back in the 'Old Days' and it was a joy.
 
That sounds like my perfect MGB. Love to see some shots.

I've found it more difficult to "unlearn" driving on the "wrong" side than adapting to the first change. For the first few weeks on return to the States I would find myself ~almost~ going the wrong way and being slightly confused for a tick (where AM I, again?!?!). Weird.
 
I asked him today when he was going to bring it to work again, as I wanted to take some pictures. He said he'd let me know beforehand, but he wanted to do some cleaning first.

I spent some time in Australia this year driving around on the other side of the road. I found that the stick shift car was easier than the auto... I was concnetrating more on driving with the stick that with the auto...

WHAT A GREAT COUNTRY!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Had a great time... Dove the Great Barrier Reef and just plain enjoyed myself.. Go there if you can... well worth the price.

I must second Doc's experience. After spending 2.5 years in Japan, I had issues with driving on the right side of the road... the nervous looks on the faces of Marines awaiting discharge when Seps Company made me the "duty driver" for a day was priceless. Luckily, I got out of the habit of driving on the left before I went home. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
