MGB MGB intake wanted

D's suggestion is the way to go, a DCOE has much better "tune-ability" than that "progressive" down-draught.

BUT(!) the Cannon manifold is a "second choice" for the conversion IMHO. Pierce Manifold sells a much better designed one. And a 40 DCOE is as much carb as the MGB needs, in our experience. E-Bay for that carb and Pierce for the manifold. That one is a much closer rendition of the factory "Competition Tuning" design. Only thing it lacks is a 'steady brace' from the front of the manifold to the engine mount, that was mostly to relieve weight load and vibration under racing conditions. Over the years we've found it to be unnecessary on road going cars.
