MGB GT Ignition problems

I have the following problem with my car:

Normally I can start the engine of my car without any problem. Ignition is working well. But than sometimes happens, when I turned off my car, I cannot start the car again. No ignition at all.

When I wait than for about 4-5 h and the engine is cooled down I can start my car again without any problem.

What can it be? Have you any solutions?

Thanks for replay.

Many years ago I had a interesting problem with our '70 MGB/GT where it would die without warning, restarts would result in shorter and shorter run times finally not wanting to run, the ignition was totally dead. The 'new' Lucas points had a nylon bushing that was torqued down such that the wrapper was shorting on the post when the heat saturated in. Took a lot of troubleshooting to get it so pull the dist cap and check.
