Hey all. A friend has a MGB GT for sale. It has 73k original miles and was a one owner car, originally owned by my neighbor when I was a kid. He worked for an international construction company and bought it when he lived in London. He grandaughter used to drive me to school in it. It is in good mechanical condition and fair cosmetically. I don't think it has much, if any rust, but it could use paint and an interior restoration.

I think he wants $4k for it. The car is located in Greenville, SC, and I can take pictures and drive it for you for more info if you are interested.

My only interest is seeing that it finds a good home. I would buy it, but I just bought a TR4.

Bought in London? is it right hand drive? That'd be cool.... Currently dumping money into a CJ, So It's not for me right now. But it sounds good.

Kirk,

One of my kids might be interested, he's still paying me for some damage to one of my other vehicles, but he's about done...is it RH drive? What year is it?

As above posts, please supply more details on, year, transmission, information on interior, price, yada, yda, yda. Thanks, Jack

Kirk, Email me more info, and a picture if you have it and I'll take it to the next meeting we have next week for Foothills British Car Club. Are you in the upstate, if you are, you need to come to a FBCC meeting if you are not already a member, we have a good club, next meeting is this coming Tuesday at Fuddruckers on Woodruff Rd, at 7pm, we normally have a good sized group say 50 people or so, we will have the back room resreved, come join the fun.

Oh my email is on below listed website. And the club's website is www.fbccsc.org

Sorry all, I have been out in the TR4 all weekend. It was the maiden voyage. It was quite a hit at the Furman football tailgate.

The GT is LHD. While in London he had an MG RHD. He bought the GT and had it shipped over right before he was transferred back to the US, so he got a LHD.

I think it is a '69. It is blue and has wirewheels, 4-speed and I think it has overdrive. The interior is brown/tan. I took a quick look when I picked up the TR4 on Friday and it has some cracks on the padded top of the dash.

My neighbor owned it since new and was bought by the current owner in 1984. The current owner was a mechanic at Snyder's in Greenville when they sold MG and Triumph. He is a factory trained LBC mechanic, and opened his own LBC/Mercedes repair shop when MG and Triumph stopped importing into the US.

I think the car is fairly solid mechanicaly, but needs some love on the paint and interior.

Hap, thanks for the invite. I will see about making the meeting. I think I can make it.

Check your email. He isn't my neighbor, as he bought the car from my neighbor, but I bet you know him.
