MGB MGB Glove Box Lock Interchangeability

I have a good lock and set of keys from the glove box of a 75 MGB, can I use this lock assembly in the glove box lid of my 77 MGB?

John, how is the lock assembly attached to the glove box door on the 77? There was a change made, I think somewhere in the middle to late 70s and the locks are different.

The one in my 77 is held on with rivets on two ears (one on each side of the lock assy) from the inside of the door. I can take a pic if ya need it.

My '73 is riveted on the same way, but it's definitely different than the later lock I picked up. Good advice to swap pictures before you buy anything....
