MGB Driver Magazine [Last Edition]

Anyone get their copy of the last issue? I just got mine in the mail and was taken back by the front cover. I was with the impression that the cover was reserved for members cars. People who spend hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars restoring their cars back to as original as possible, some with slight deviations, because they love and respect the MG series. Not for some Hollywood glitter who only do it to make tons of money and have no respect for the car or what it represents whatsoever. The theater company is also represented on the bottom of the cover spread. The article inside is fine and does fit, as it is an MG, but not on the cover. I hope this doesn't hurt anyones feelings, as that is not my intention, but I hope it brings to light that the front cover of this very informative magazine is not the place for Holly Wood glitter. JMHO. PJ

Nothing like opening the mail box and finding a B that's so hideous that it would repel the crusher topped off by a guy not just in drag but in a fat suit in drag with skimpy wet clothing. Makes one want to scoop ones eyeballs out with a spork while puking. And the movie was about as funny as open hart surgery without anesthetic

Heh.
Page 9 has someone of interest too /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif , but not as good as your article.

I think that the cover of The Driver is perfect. It is great for our little cars to see them get the exposure from Hollywood or anywhere else for that matter. Since the photo was property of the film and copyrighted, of course credit had to be given.

As far as hideous, I've seen some MGs far more "hideous" than that one driven by normal MG enthusiasts...

I like the cover, I like the fact an MG was used in a movie whether or not it was funny.

Don't judge a book by its cover...

((of course, the editor of The Driver is a very close friend of mine...))

I'd love to see the cover if anyone can show it here. I still need to sign up for this mag.

Any chance of someone showing us the cover?
