Redoing a 3 main 1800 for a buddy. In the disassembly process I see that the camshaft has a white stripe around it towards the back end and a W or M depending on which way you look at it marked towards the front with white paint marker. Anybody know what that might signify?

Thanks,

Marty

The 3-main camshafts had a stripe between lobe 7 and 8 that identified the grind. IIRC , they were white or orange. I have no idea of the specs.
