MGB MGB;blown head gasket...where?

I've been trying to track down an overheating problem on my 1970 MGB-GT for quite sometime. Since I bought the car about 5 years ago, its been getting slowly worse. Finally decided to bite the bullet and pull the head (tried everything else). It appears that it was leaking at the wall between #2 and #3 cylenders. No water was getting in the oil. Is this a 'normal' failure for head gaskets on MGB's? I'd like to hear from other folks to see if they fail in this location most of the time. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cryin.gif
