MGA MGB Anti Roll Bar in Original MGA Position?

I have been studying ARB's for my 62 MK2. I had decided that with modern radials it seems that a 3/4" bar is the best for non racing applications. I at first thought I would buy the ADDCO unit which is 3/4" and has poly bushings. It mounts under the front extension making everything easy to get to. My car does have the reinforced lower A arm with the spring pan that has the correct hole to match. My front extension has the "V" depression on top to mount the original optional bar. So I got to wondering if I used a MGB 3/4" will it fit in the original "V" and simply use MGA drop links to bolt into the holes in the lower A arm and spring pan? The information I have found is not quite clear (to me) on this. Bruce

Wow, Not a single answer. I try to post here some but sometimes this is what I get here. I will take my question elsewhere. Bruce

Bill - thanks for responding. But my question is if I want to mount it in the original position. I have the indented frame extension and the reinforced A arm (coming) and the proper spring pan. If fabrication is involved other than bending the mounting brackets then I will simply use the Addco unit. So not interested in fabrication as I am restoring the car and it is apart and don't want additional work. But I do want a 3/4" ARB and if I could take the 3/4" MGB bar and mount it in the original position and use the MGA links and simply bolt it on I would be interested. So that said, my question could be answered by saying yes a MGB ARB could be installed in the original position w/o fabrication or if I do then fabrication is required. This is the part I have not determined from research. Once again thanks for responding. If mounting requires the underneath mounting then I will simply order the ADDCO unit. Bruce

Disassembling the under-carriage of the car to accommodate the OEM bar was one of those masochistic idiosyncrasies the British put up with but we don't have to unless one is an originality nut. Mounting it under makes and required later servicing sooooo much easier.
