MGA MGA rear axle bearing nut size

We have been working on a lot of MGA 1500's with the 3/4 floating axle (Disk Wheels). The threads on the axle are usually buggered up.
I believe they are 1 9/16"-16 thread. Can anyone confirm or refute that.
