Hi folks - just trying to do some job planning here.

How easy/hard is to pull my front & rear MGA fenders to essentially do what the attached photo illustrates? (taken from mgbexperience MGA forum)

There was sill repair as part of that job (hopefully not necessary in mine), but giving the body a good rust treatment seems like a good idea.

Just lots of bolts, getting them loose, and making sure you found all of them. Good luck!

MAJOR work! Tons of nuts and bolts, and a lot of refitting to get everything right. And it's almost gauranteed you'll scratch the paint takin 'em off
I would not remove the fenders unless your going to do a full repaint or restore.
Not that it's impossible, I'd just set aside LOTS of time to do it, and order new fender beading, headlight gaskets, taillight gaskets, bumper grommits,
Front end rebuild kit, shocks, engine gasket set hehehehehehe

Hmmm... Comparing my answer to Banjo's, It's no wonder I dive right in most of the time... and also no wonder I tend to slow down, just as it's all ready to go back together. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

...and how ~IS~ the 'yota coming along?

Been working.... Been raining.... Been depressed..... Been lazy..... Haven't got the bolt extractors yet.... It's still sitting just like it was 2 weeks ago /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

...and... Probably be sitting like that for at least another week until I get the tools I need. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Once I get those, It should go fairly quickly.
