On the way home from the shop yestrday my friend Wanza called me and said she was standing next to an MG in the Wally world lot. She saithe owners wanted to meet me and that they'd wait. I cruised in and the 70 something owners were by this car...bought it in 66, did a five years resto starting six years ago. Said there 69 totally restored Stingray has more room...but the MGA was more fun. Nice folks, they want to see my toys so we'll get together in a couple of weeks.

Great story! I love that they actually wanted to wait there while you drove to meet them. You won't see that happen in the Toyota club! :wink:
 
Sure wouldn't. He said as he is pretty old he'd like to do one more car before he has to quit....a 1960 Nash Metroploitan. Go figure.
 
Parked mighty close to that pick-em-up truck there....
 
Met one of my life-long friends under similar circumstance. Elans, but same "chance" meeting.

...over thirty years ago.

That is a great story.....

When ever I park my B or my A in a parking lot there are invariably at least a few people standing around looking at it. The great thing is the enthusiasm expressed by little kids ... 'Cool car mister'.

I was driving home yesterday in the A and a red Ferrari pulled up next to me, the driver rolled his window down and said...'Cool car mister!.. Go figure. :wink:
 
And you said, "Not a bad ride you have there either."

I've reconsidered my "swap you",it now refers to the Ferrari driver.After all,he was the one who said your car was cool. :jester: :thumbsup:
