For anyone interested, we've just completed "production" of a DVD video showing highlights of our MG club's year, shows, and our trip to St. Louis for MG2003.

It's a 20-minute piece in five sections, set to music, and it's a lot of fun to watch. (Even if you don't know the people, because it's mostly about the fun and the cars!)

Anyone thinking about coming to New Jersey for MG2004 in June, it's a great way to get an idea of what the North American MGB Register national conventions are all about.

Just send me an email with your mailing address, and I'll pop one in the mail to you. (It's a DVD-R that you can play either in a DVD player on your TV or in your computer.)

Adam, we're just looking to cover our expenses, which is working out to about $5 each.

(Although Chas. just grumbled about having to burn so many more DVDs!)

I've got 30 people who want them so far . . . I promised I'd mention that Chas. would be happy to accept contributions above that, if you think it's worth it after viewing ...

In any case, if you want one, please get an email to me soon, because we don't want to be burning these things weeks on end. Each takes about 15 minutes to burn, which doesn't sound like much until you realize it will take 7.5 hours to burn 30 of the little suckers ....

Kim -

Received the DVD yesterday and popped it in last night. Looks like you had a great time putting it together, and I enjoyed it. The music choices were very good - "Summer Wind" was especially appropriate, considering the current season. And what better road trip music than the Allman Brothers!

Thanks to you and Charles for the work. Won't make Parsippany this year, but maybe we'll be finished with the B for next year.

Kim, just received mine! Great job, thank Chas for me. Check's in the mail!

Thanks, guys, I will pass the nice thoughts on to Chas.

Mickey, MG2005 will be near Seattle, Washington, so you'd better do a great job getting that car on the road!

SEATTLE! Janet's got an aunt and some cousins out there, but I don't think so...

2006?

MG2006 will be the special "all-register" convention, which only happens every five years. (Pre-war Midgets, Magnas and Magnettes, MGTs, MGAs, MGBs and Midgets and MGCs.)

Last one was 2001 in St. Paul . . . so don't think they'll go there again, Chuck. First one was in Indianapolis in 1996, so don't know if they'll go back there either!

But you never know, though, because it will most likely have to be in the central U.S. somewhere, and there aren't that many places that can handle hundreds and hundreds of cars... St. Paul event had more than 800 MGs, and 1,200 people!)

The "MG Council" will be meeting this August to make the choice!

There's an online survey looking for input on MG2006. (I think it's still active.) The easiest place to find it is on the North American MGA Register site: NAMGAR Just click on the "MG2006 - Enthusiasts Survey" link.
