I know it has been discussed in the forum in the past, but there is a good article on the MG ZT260 in the latest issue of Sports Car International magazine. Briefly mentions the possibility of export to North America. For those who don't have access to the magazine, the ZT260 link on the MG Rover Website is:

A Mustang V-8 in a British car - the best of all possible worlds! Here's hoping!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

is it truly an MG if it has a Ford engine in it?

Who cares if the V8 is a Rover, Ford or Buick? V8= a SH*T load of torque! That thing will be a fricken beast. I got my fingers and toes crossed.

Is it an MG? Well, if you consider the new MGs true MGs then I'd say yes, that one is a real MG. While I think it would be neat to own a modern MG I don't consider them related to the originals in any way other than advertising. The company went completely out of business and stayed that way for a long time before someone else revived it. Still, if they ever decided to sell them here I would seriously consider buying one.

ah well, I may scoff at the prospects of them having a Ford engine in them, but truth be told I wouldn't mind having MG TF 160, MG ZR 160, or the MG XPower SV.

Speaking of the MG ZR, Colin McRae Rally Racing 2004 (not sure about the 2005 edition yet) has the MG ZR in rally racing trim for your modern MG racing fun. I also found that the MGC GT was an unlockable after beating some of the racing circuits. I had lots of fun racing around the rally tracks in those two cars /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I just got a copy of CMR (Collin McRae Rally) 2005. This one has the MGC GT Sebring in it... :p However, it's in a "locked" state at first, and I've no idea how many races you have to win before it gets unlocked.

heh... I already unlocked it... See attachment for screenshot. In game, the car does between 70 and 80 MPH before shifting to 3rd /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif
