Hello:

I am interested in supercharging a 1950/1 MGTD. Does anyone out there have any experience, design/development diagrams, for a Shorrock, McCulloch or Judson?

Also I have interest in buying the appropriate ones of these units.....

Best,

Tony

They pop up on eBay from time to time. If you aren't stuck on originality, I recently saw a modern replica of a period unit at the Fullerton MG swap meet. The price was around $3500 for the entire kit. I don't have the contact information for the gentleman but it might not be too difficult to find if you're interested in one.

George Folchi (gbfolchi@yahoo.com) is an expert on refurbishing Judson superchargers for the XPAG engine. I contacted him recently and said that he doesn't have any available. If you find one (on eBay perhaps) he can recondition it or help you fit it.

I don't know about other superchargers used on a TD, but I'd love to hear about it!

Someone posted a video of a supercharged TC on You Tube. It sounds terrific! The title is "MGTC at Mallala" The car is in a race with a 1600cc special and doing very well.

That thing is screaming. Awesome!! I'd love my TD to sound that way one day. but alas $$$$$$$$.
