I am trying to put an early TD back on the road and was wondering, since the filters are not available and the only adaptor I have seen is only an approximation of the original appearance-wise, What would be the problems involved with using an add-on remote filter from a local supplier that uses a chevy cartridge? I could adapt the fittings and bolt it in the original position. at one fourth of the replica.

All ya really need is filtration. A remote will keep the beast from chewin' its own leg off.
