T-Series MG TD Jacking/Jack Stand Points?

Silly question...what are the best points for jacking (with a hydraulic jack) and placement of jack stands for an MG TD. I want to be sure I'm lifting and subsequently supporting the vehicle at the correct places to avoid damage.

Any practical advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

On my YB which is very similar underneath, I place the rears on the axle housing and the fronts under the lower arms, either at the main pivot or by the spring pan. My philosophy is: If your car is on jack stands with the wheels off and you're afraid to rock it back and forth, then you didn't place the stands well enough!

I always jack from the center of the axle, under the drain plug. The car stays balanced and the differential housing fits the head of my jack nicely. If you're worried about scratches, place a thin terry rag between the axle and jack. If you only want one side of the car raised, you can lift by the side frame rails but be careful of puting dents in them. I'd use a block of wood. For lifting only one wheel in the rear I usually go either on the axle housing or under the leaf spring. Be careful not to damage the threads on the leaf spring bracket. A block of wood is useful here as well.
