On an MG TD is there any other place to find the car number than on the "makers plate"? I know the engine number is also on the "makers plate" and on the side of the engine block, but what about the car number (e.g., TD 12578)?
Roy, look on the front right chassis and see if a number is there, I think it's on the inside stamped into the chassis. That's were it is on the TA. Wayne
I found it. Thanks to Dave DuBois and Bud Kruger. It's on the left, front frame extension, just below the flange of the left front fender. It's stamped in large numbers and easy to see if no rust or paint.
