General MG MG related arts & crafts?

I'll bet there are people on this forum with artistic skills....painters, sculptors, woodworkers, metal workers, etc. How about showing any MG related arts & crafts projects you've done! Even if it's not something you created, but something you bought, I'd like to see it!

I'm far from artistic, but I've always loved stained glass.....church windows, windows in old houses, you name it - stained glass has always fascinated me. Several years ago I took up the craft as a hobby. Naturally the MG octagon was my first project (since it was relatively easy...all straight lines!) - and I've done a number of them in different colors and types of glass over the years. Here's a couple of them.

Let's see what you've got!!

Joe,
Those are amazing!! How big are they? I'm sure you can make any size and I'd be interested in one around the 12x12x12x12x12x12x...size.
I'm pursuing my wood working hobby by taking vintage wood steering wheels headed for the trash and fixing/restoring them. I really enjoy making something look better-than-new again.

As I recall the brown/creme one is about 18" across. The other one is about 15". The limiting factor on size for me is that the three vertical pieces in the center (the right side of the M, left side of the G and the piece between them) can't usually be more than 12". All the glass I can get locally is 12x12 pieces - and I want those sections to each be 1 piece so it doesn't look too busy. Whenever I'm in Atlanta I can get larger glass, so that lets me increase the size a bit.

I just looked at the gallery on your website. You really bring some of those back from the dead!

Nice, Joe!

If you're ever over this way, there's a wonderful stained glass shop here in Townsend. We had the owner do a little repair on a panel we've had for a while; very nice workmanship.

very cool - and, FWIW I think if the two of you got together, Mike & Joe that a Stained Glass logo framed by a wood wheel rim would be amazingly cool!

I'll check it out next time I've over there - which is usually about once each year. There is also one on the arts loop in Gatlinburg that does outstanding work...

Be sure and let me know when you're here. Coffee's usually on!
