MG Oiling Kit

Anybody familiar with a company called Max's MG Service? They make a rocker shaft oiling kit that sounds interesting. The web site I found is www.rockerarmkit.com They claim that it greatly improves oil flow to the rockers and cuts down on noise and wear. Sounds like a good idea but I'd like to hear some other opinions. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

100,000+ miles on MGB with original rocker asembly - no unusual wear or noise...seems like donating to Max's personal charity, if you ask me.....& most MG's that I disassemble have very good rocker assemblies...heck, you could probably replace your rocker assembly 6 times with good used ones before you paid for his!

I've always been a gadget nut so I like to ask around about things like this. Don't want to spend money thats not going to make "Molly" better./ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

I agree with Tony, you dont need extra oiling on an MGB rocker shaft. If it's wet, it's slippery enough! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif PJ

Now, were I building a racing engine, I'd ask Hap what I needed...but a stock or slightly beefier street engine - NAH!
