MG Midget Repair Manuals - Which are the best?

I just purchased a 1978 Midget which is in very good condition but I'm sure that I will need a repair / restoration manual and a wiring diagram sooner or later. When I restored old Fords I knew exactly which books to have but what are your recommendations for a repair manual, restoration manual, & a wiring diagram? Maybe everthing I will need is in 1 book. I don't want to buy a Chiltons and find out it is to generic and won't give me the information I need. I would appreciate information on which book or books to buy and which ones not to buy. Thank you in advance for your assistance. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

all three! ; )
never enough info or pics!
copy the pages u need at the
time from each one and go to work...
also i covered my table with plastic
and put my pages under it....
they never get lost and it RIGHT there
when u need it...
it also keeps the oil off the table ; ).........zimmmy

honestly, I haven't found a good one yet. The haynes manual is about as useful as they usually are.....the factory manual reprint I have is in a really weird order that makes it impossible to find what you want....

At this point, I try to get reasonable torque specs for the area I'll be in and do the rest w/o a book....

I have all three and still end up here with questions. Also, after awhile, the car gets so modified, it's better to keep a notebook with the repairs you did and how you did them.

The Haynes one is probably the best one for the money. The factory ones are high and always tell you to use a high priced marque tool, but give more info that you need when doing some jobs like changing diff gears.

I was under the impression that the "Bentley" and the "Factory shop manual" were the same thing. Am I wrong? I have the factory book, bought from Moss--blue and grey, says Austin Healey Sprite on the front. Is this not the Bentley we speak of?

Here is the "other" manual i refered to.

Thanks everyone. I bought the Hayes manual yesterday on Ebay. I have been trying to find the factory repair manual at a decent price. I appreciate the help provided.
