I'm new on the forum but have not seen many midget owners or related threads for that matter. I thought I woud start one. It would be nice to talk with other midget owners about our cars. So I guess if you own a midget of know a little something about them, drop a post here. I myself own a 1977.

Hi.

The reason that you have not seen much info about Midgets here is that you are on the wrong part of the site.
We Spridget owners (Sprite/Midget) complained so much, Basil gave us our own sub-heading.
Please go here:

You should see lots of info about Spridgets. Remember, many older Spridgets use the "A" series BMC engine (948, 1098 or 1275) that is unrelated to your engine in any way. Different trans to. Like my car, your 1500 engine is really a Triumph Spitfire 1500 engine, so you may also be able to get some tech info from the Triumph part of this site. Suspension and basic chassis is pretty similar (and interchangable) in all Spridgets back to '64 and some of the original '58 Bugeye parts will even fit our newer cars.
