MG Junkyards

Does anyone know of any good junkyards, for MGs or British cars in general, in PA, DE, NJ, or NY. I have been to a few and they have no MGBs. All they have are a couple of stripped rusted Midgets.
Thanks
Quentin

Quentin, what are you looking for? The best source of used MG parts I know is Tony Barnhill, aka "The Autoist" who maintains his own amazing MG Graveyard.

I've never heard of any around these parts, but Tony's your guy if you're looking for something. (Of course, he's in northern Alabama, and you don't get the pleasure of the hunt and pulling parts yourself, but he's the next best thing): The Autoist

Thank you for the kind words Kim...I wasn't gonna answer because of his location specificity....yep, I own a great little MG Graveyard - cars always coming & going...

...&, its changed lots since these photos were taken - new ones this spring

Junk yards really make me sad. I want to fix them and put them on the road but cant.

How many of us have oil spots on our driveways or garages ??

C'mon, Dave! When I was going to paint the floor of the new car trailer, some heartless SOB asked me if I was just going to do the shortcut, and mix the oil-dry right in with the paint!
My driveway will never rust!!!!!!!

Believe it or not the oil spot in my picture isn't from my MG. Although it does leak.

Stains are the main reason my driveway is loose pea gravel!

Hail Quentin from Easton!

I'm from outside of Downingtown, if you recognize it. There's a pair of outfits in our area. In DE, there's a place called British Racing Green (Moss distributor, too; www.brgparts.com). He has a good selection of MG's (pretty much all he has is a few TR's and a bunch of MGA, MGB, and Midgets). A larger (in terms of number of junked cars) outfit, which is closer to you is British Miles in Morristown? (it's either that or Morrisville ...). At any rate, he's on the PA/NJ border, on the PA side, with a 190XX zip code. He has a lot of stuff, but is rather talkative and can be hard to buy from. I bought a refurbished tranny and oil cooler from him, as well as a few other items. Nice guy, but he talks forever,

by the name of Tom. I encourage you to look him up. His phone is 1-215-736-9300

Oh yeah, I forgot about British Miles. (Which I've never been to, but have bought stuff from them at the Carlisle show, where they always have a booth of used part.) Here's a link to their website: British Miles

And that reminds me, Quentin, that you should plan to go to the big Carlisle Import / Kit / Replicar show, May 21-23. Info and registration at Carlisle Productions

It's your BEST source for used parts around, as there are lots of vendors there, and usually a good variety of MG parts. Like I said, British Miles always has a tent with parts, and lots of others (like Little British Car Co.) will be there. And our club (Keystone Regional) will be having a cookout there on Saturday, in a tent we share with the North American MGB Register on the British car field.

actually Kim, Tony lets me scrounge around and would be glad to let me pull my own parts, less work for him

Correct -a-mundo, chuck...lots of guys come by & pull their own parts...all i ask is thsat they don't cut anything, leave all loose parts inside car & clean up after themselves!

Sorry for the delay but my computer was down for a few days.
I will check out British Miles and I have my calendar marked for Carisle.
Thanks
-Quentin-

Try British Auto Parts in Macedon NY ( suburb of Rochester),about 4-5 hours from where you are located. Mark owns the place, he has everything ( mgb's,MGA's Alpines, Jags, A-H 3000's. There is a large field with about 70 cars set up in rows. I was there about 5 years ago and just spent the morning walking around in the field. Prices are a little high, but he has everything.
