I hope that our members and their families are ok dealing with the flooding situation and it isn't affecting your properties! From what we hear, it is a disaster in some areas. From our family to yours, Wishing you all the best! PJ

I've been in touch with many people in Humboldt County.
First they got hit with earthquakes, then rain.Highway 101 was
closed North of Trinidad - lots of Redwood trees fell down,
completely blocking it.Then they got flooding & landslides.
Like me,they need a boring year.

It's highly variable. Some places it's terrible, others, like where we are, nothing.
Just like John said. The only issue we are having is keeping a couple of medium sized trees from blowing over.
I also spent a day before the storms digging out the debris from the gutters.
Right after we moved in I had to explore the crawl space which had a small pond.
When I re-landscaped our property, I plumbed all the downspouts underground out to the sidewalks.

It's not all flooding - yet.

The top of the bathroom at the Sherman Pass Vista (22S05) under 8ft of snow on 01/13/2023.

May be an image of nature, tree and snow

It's not getting a lot better - lots of roads/highways
have been shut down due to slides.buckling pavement,
and flooding.
Good time to stay in your local area,if you live
in that part of the country.
