Howdy all!
I just had to share the following revelation. I have decided that I despise those meeting planner emails that people send out with a time designated for a meeting or conference call. Here's why. Many people send those out without asking if you're available. They just send them. This bothers me for a couple of reasons. First, I always thought that it was polite to *ask* if someone was available, rather than launching an impersonal electronic note. Second, it always struck me that the underlying meaning of those emails is "I'm available at this time -- you'd better work it out that you are too."
Oh well, just another example of the ways that our society becomes more impersonal every day. *sigh*

Though the irony of posting this rant electronically is not completely lost on me either.

Sometimes I just "forget" (neglect?) to take my "out of office" notification tool off of my email for days on end.
