Meeting: NW Org of Spridget handymen-in-transit

Yes, it *was* fun! It was great to see faces both new and old.

Special note: Kudos to Mike Burkhart, who towed his car to my house, bringing a dozen brats with buns; hacksawed the towbar off his truck to loan it to another Spridgeteer, assisting with the tow job as well; and ended up going home without working in his own car at all! Very selfless and very helpful - a joy to be around.

Other notes: Brian's car is, I think, the best rubber-bumper Midget I have ever seen. Sounds great, too. Rich helped my Dad finish up the rear hub repair on his Healey; thanks again, Rich! Bill M is a treasure; and Bill L kept us all groaning with jokes of dubious origin and questionable taste. Phil S was very affable and sociable, and fun to be around. We had new faces of a Dan and a Dave (same names as my two brothers!), Jason and Heather made cameo appearances, and I can't even remember all the folks! Some people said that there were more Spridgets at my house than at the recent ABFM.

I have one complaint: there was not enough beer consumed. I will be forced to drink all the leftover beer on my own. I'll apply myself to the task diligently.

Thanks to everyone for coming over - I love hosting these. I feel it's selfish of me to do so, because I get you all to myself! I'm looking forward to the next one already.

Phil

Sure was nice to be in such good company. Billm really invested some time and education with me and my carbs. You can't get that kind of education at the repair shop! Massive thanks, Bill.

Phil, thanks for the compliment. It means a lot after seeing your cars. I really wanted to help take care of the beer, but common sense got the best of me!

Meeting Pythias (Bill L.) and Phil from Portland was a kick! They both had me smiling and laughing (now you know where the Wal-Mart in Lacey is -- sorry about that!). And it was great to see Rick's green RB with Bugeye bonnet especially after reading so many of his posts here. It was most excellent to meet RichBall again. As was it to meet everyone else for the 1st time.

Thanks everyone for the hospitality.
