Measurement Requested

Offline
Can someone give me the measurement of the telescopic prop on the bootlid of your MG Midget, both in its collapsed as well as its extended length?

I would also appreciate the length of the fixed bootlid prop rod for the earlier Midgets and Sprites.

Additionally, I would like to have the same measurement for the bonnet telescopic prop as well as the fixed bonnet prop rod of the earlier Midgets.

You can post me off list if you wish to: mowog1@aol.com

Thanks in advance.

Rick,
63 MkII Sprite, fixed bonnet and boot props:
Bonnet, 28.5 inches
Boot, 10.5 inches straight measure, 11 inches with the curve. The boot prop is curved to conform to the shape of the boot lid.

On a side note, can someone tell me why I have a prop rod holder(?) on the right fender, right up by the radiator cowl?

Somewhere along the line, they moved the prop rod from one side to the other. So someone replaced your fender at one time with "the other one".

Rick as close as I can get bonnet prop rod on my '72 is 13" closed and 23.25"open and boot rod is 13" open and7.5" closed (can't get into the boot to measure it when closed LOL)
