i want to refurb both the clutch and brake master cyclinders. the fluid canisters have a layer of crap in them that i can only partially clean out. are there any garage tips for cleaning these containers out or do i need to take them to a machine shop for cleaning. the bores look good and should be okay with a good hone.

I've always had good luck with spray-bomb carb cleaners for that oook. Sometimes a chop-stick with a paper towel piece twisted snugly to the tip for the stubborn parts.

It's MESSY so watch yer eyes, and do it outdoors! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

My brake pedal has a thick layer of goo leaking from above, maybe been a week. Think I might be doing the same.
