master cylinder choice

Bringing my 62 Sprite back to life I have 3 choices due to my salvaging. I have a sweet set, from a 72, but I'd have to modify the car (no further cost). Or have the 3/4 or 7/8 lined for $180. Since I am going to disk front brakes would the best choice be the 3/4?

Since you have a "sweet set" from a '72 go ahead and use that. Yes you will have to make a small plate to cover the hole left on the right of the pedal assembly to cover the cutout in the upper footwell. The '72 master has more brake fluid capacity than a dual master and will be the right size for the job. Failing that have the 3/4" rebuilt.
 
I am in this same situation, restoring a 62 Sprite with a 72 parts car. I have a question about converting the 72 MC setup, though. What do you do with the dual brake line configuration the 72 MC is set up for?
 
Well Jim you have three choices. Plumb the two master outputs into a single output line and use your existing brake lines, or use the brake lines from the '72 and have seperate front and rear brake systems, or use a '67 master cylinder which had only a single outlet and use your existing brake lines. The '67 master will bolt in place of the later dual circuit master on the pedal assembly.
