master brake cylinder

I am rebuilding a master brake cylinder from a 73MGB. The center shaft is held together by a pin. Does anyone know how to the pin out??
 
It ~should~ almost fall out by inverting the cylinder and relieving the spring tension on the assembly it's holding.
 
Go get a 1/16 inch punch and it should tap out easily. Wayne
 
Have you removed the little white round plastic thing down in the cylinder? If not, you're going to have to drill 2 real tiny holes in it, put couple of nails in them & "pull" it.
 
As Tony says, drill two small holes across from one another to get the plastic washer out. The holes are a means of getting a hold on the piece. Nails, small screws or whatever. If I remember correctly, there's a retaining cir clip underneath it.If you buy a Moss rebuild kit, a new plastic piece comes with it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif PJ
