WE ALL LOVE PICTURES BUT I HAVE NOT BEEN SHARING BECAUSE I DIDN'T KNOW HOW. AREN'T KIDS GREAT TO HAVE WHEN THEY GIVE YOU THE TIME. I HAVE BELONGED TO THE FORUM SINCE 05 AND STARTED THE PROJECT IN 05. I FELT THE RUST WAS FAIRLY MINIMAL AND ALL THE PARTS FOR THE MOST PART WERE THERE WHEN I GOT HER FOR $0. I HAVE DONE ALL THE WORK MYSELF. I HAVE THE METAL NECESSARY FROM VB FOR REPLACEMENT (ROCKER PANELS, INSIDE PASSENGER WALLS AND END CAPS WAITING FOR A WORM DAY IN OHIO TO START THE WELDING, THEN ON TO BODY WORK. i HAVE TOTALLY REBUILT ALL THE SUSPENSION AND BRAKE SYSTEM AND RECENTLY DISMANTELED THE CARBS AND REBUILT. I NEED SOME PETER C WORK AND SOME MASTER CYLINDER WORK. YOU ALL HAVE BEEN THE BEST ASSET WILL TRY TO CONTRIBUTE MORE SINCE I KNOW HOW. HOPE MY PICS HELP SOMEONE ELSE.

MARK Marks 65' Sprite Project

Boy, that looks really nice! Looks like you have something there! Keep us updated!

I love the blue interior. Blue suspension parts are neat too.

Pic 21 - trunk looks like play doh - hehehe

great progress!

That's the kind of birthday presents we like!
Happy B-Day /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif

Yep, little Sprite looking good.
Happy Birthday!

Wow! It looks a bit rough to say the least, but for $0 !! That's incredible. The way you got it, it would sell for $1000 here in Denmark, and in that condition, if one would ever come up for sale. Which they don't because very few were ever sold here.

That's definately the way to do rust repair. It will be one well prepared car when done. No shortcuts.

Looking very good.

Nice! Was the blue interior original, coz it looks fab! Love the rimless steering wheel! Looking at those pictures makes me realise how much I miss my garage from the states...

thanks for the pics mark ... looks a lot like my project and i can appreciate the work. i haven't done all the work myself but that's only because i want to drive the car someday! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif .. anyway keep up the great work!

Nice project you have there! I agree with the above posters, the blue theme is a very cool route to take. I look forward to seeing more updates!

Hi all thanks for the comments. This is the original interior, the car was painted midnight blue by the PO back in the 70's he was embarassed as a young driver with the original color blue which is the color of the trunk. I have never stripped so much paint in my life. I plan on taking it back to the original blue with maybe a little more shine to it. Mazda has a nice light blue out there that is close to what I might use.

That's a nice color on the Miata. Wouldn't mind seeing a bugeye with that paint.
