Gentlemen - I shouldn't even be thinking about this, and I can't afford it. But I suddenly developed major weakness in the knees:

Lot of money for an unclean car. Wasp nest spot under inner fender, antenna in wrong spot. Scratch on front fender. $25K tops.

That looks like one of the most solid original 3.4 Litre sedans that I have seen. I drove one for about two years in my college days. Now I'm restoring one of the last MKI's built. It came with quick change brake pads and an electric tachometer.

I'd love to have a three point four litre sedan.
Leather is just the same condition my Grandad's was.
Not sure I'm excited about black paint.
Nice there are no wires to deal with...Would have thought on a 3.4L sedan that means drum brakes, since Grandad told me when he ordered his wires and discs were a grand add on.
So he passed.
But I do see a disc, so solid wheels, disc brakes.
Sold for 35,100.
Gawd, that's a lot of money.

I see the comment that there are no 1st-2nd synchro issues.
Odd. Read the writeup twice, did not find it had a 1965+ MK2 transmission with synchro first.
Wonder why he spent so many years trying to buy it yet only kept it two years?

Dave- I'm glad you chimed in.
I always forget what series yours was and what motor

I sang for a band the summer before my senior year in high school and the drummer had a 3.4. I thought it was a '58 and had no syncro in 1st. I showed him how to slow the tranny down by going from third to first with no crunch. He let me drive it every once in a while after that. I liked it, a very nice driving sedan, every bit as good as an XJ6, but manual. They were all adults so that made me feel good, too!
