This thread is mostly for the "old timers" of BCF.
You new folks might not know about the
<span style="color: #006600"><span style="font-size: 14pt">Legend of the Crypt Car</span>:</span>
Here goes- I looked down at my trip meter as I was
leaving the marina this evening. And was totally stunned.
A whole bunch of personal records smashed
<span style="color: #000099">1. 600+ miles driven in ten days with no breakdowns!!</span>
That's more miles than all 12 months of 2006-(67 mi),
more than 9 months of year 2007- (200ish) and more
than the first 9 months of year 2008-(400ish)
2. Three drive days of 100+ miles per day w/o breakdown
3. First night sortie accomplished - 90 miles R/T at
65 to 70 MPH average speed.
4. Turned over a total of 2,061 miles driven since purchased.
Yeah, about hundred breakdowns to attain those 2000 miles.
5. I presently have no repair parts on order from anyone.
And Golly- I could begin to list all the BCF members who
helped make today possible but the list would be like really
long. I hope in some way I can now help other rookie owners
like myself overcome their own DPO Pedro-ised systems.
Remember my No.1 hobby is fishing. Fantastic to now be able
to combine two hobbies in a single day. And also light up
a young lad's eyes today.
Thanks all !!
