When I needed a points type dist for my Alfa Giulia (they did actually come with Lucas, Bosch or Marelli) I just grabbed the nearest spare Lucas. But it turned the wrong way! Oh Gosh, What was I to do? I removed the centrifugal advance pivot pins and re-welded them to the other position on the mounting plate, flipped the weights over and voila, a Lucas unit that turns clockwise. I had to modify the rotor slot a bit and I don't use the vacuum advance, which the car never used anyway. It works great and sure beats that stupid Marelli football sized distributor cap.
