I have no idea what the hole was originally intended to service it was plugged. There is one just like it on the other side.

That's a timely photo. Nice pix. That's the color I've been considering for the gt6, at least I think so. Is it the same color as the sprite on the cover of Moss' British motoring mag?

Dang Ray, Sorry , got magic marker all over your new paint. :jester:

I'm only guessing, but did that hole have anything to do with the fuel line on pi cars?

i WAS KINDA GUESSING THAT TOO.
dang cat stood on the keyboard and pressed the cap button

The original Mallard Blue is really green. In the late '70's I had the car painted. The shop got the color a little more blue then green. A few years ago, I painted a hard top the original green tint, mallard blue. I opted to not go there this time and keep the blue green. In the light the paint is green blue, in the shade it is blue green.

Here is a shot of a test I did awhile back on an old rocker.

This will make a quart of PPG single stage urethane.

If you are interested, PM me your address and I will send a piece of masking paper with the color on it.

When I had The mallard mixed for my car, it amazed me that it was something like 82 parts green, 14 parts blue, 1 part white, 1 part black, etc. I know these numbers aren't right , but are fairly close.
It is a beautiful color.
A friend of mine painted his car mallard. When parked side by side, mine is a shade darker. I used red oxide primer while he used gray.

Just saw that on a speed channel show. The under color real make a difference in the deepness of the color.
