Main bearings? £27 or £75?

Two suppliers in the uk offering the same part, a set of main bearings for BN1 , for very different prices, both reputable (!?!) suppliers, are there different brands? what should I avoid?

could be that the more expensive pieces are new old stock VP2 composition and are tri-metal where the lesser are aluminum backed and still being made. Either ACL or the new Vandervell will be fine for a street motor.

don't buy bearings until you see whats happening with the crank and also find out if you will need other than stock sizes if the crank needs grinding.

possibly the previous work was not the best and something came back to haunt the motor.....goood luck.
