Mine too actually - but it was intended to have all the bits and bobs. (any movie with a character named Truly Scrumptious...)

without Google - who knows who wrote Chitty Chitty Bang Bang?

One of my racing friends actually helped build Chitty.
He worked for Alan Mann Racing, where it was built.

BTW saw a TV clip from not too many years ago where they had the actual Chitty Chitty Bang Bang out driving in LA. People of all ages were going crazy to get their pics taken or sit in it - very fun.

Did you all know that one of the original Chitty Bang Bangs is still in existence?
They were built by Count Louis Zborowski, and were aero-engined monsters. The last of them, also called the Higham Special, was bought by Parry Thoams, re-named Babs, and was the car in which Parry Thomas was killed in 1927
It was buried, but subsequently disinterred and restored.

A mere economy car compared to ~"MAVIS"~ , the <span style="font-weight: bold">42 liter</span> Packard-powered Bentley built by VSCC member Chris Williams.

To be fair, "Mavis" is a modern-built tribute to the old aero-engined cars (like the real Chitty), but it's built from all real, period-correct parts.
