HELP!

I'm trying to scan some old black & white magazine photos and find that the little dots seem to interact with the scanner processing to create very bad intereference patterns:

Is there an easy solution to this? I've tried various resoultion changes but haven't had much success....

TIA

Moire pattern. Change the expected output to B&W, "document" settings?

Kinda depends on which scanner you have and the software capabilities.

Not all scanning software has the feature to remove it. Epson has a mode called "descreening" that works pretty well at 200dpi. Google "descreening scans".
