In a discussion on another forum, I was reminded of when I was about 12 years old a few (cough) years ago, when we lived in Germany (Dad was US Army). One summer he took us on a bit of a history tour around Europe. One of the places we traveled to was Amsterdam where we visited Ann Frank's house. But one other thing I remember about that trip was our visit to Madurodam miniature city. Everything was 1:25 scale and done to perfection https://www.madurodam.nl/en/

The wife has relatives in Amsterdam, where her family came from, VanOrder. PJ

I've been to the Ann Frank house but not Madurodam; will keep it on my list if I get back to Amsterdam.

I have been 3 times (40 years ago was the last). We loved it as kids. The great thing was about our trips to Holland as kids were all the european toys we brought home ( Lego) that were not available here in the States. We hope to go with the family this summer. Or oldest has not seen her relatives in NL in there natural evironment .
