Machine Shop in Pacific Northwest

Hello everyone - New member here. And new to British cars. Bought this little beauty in March on bringatrailer.com. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1960-austin-healy-bugeye-sprite/ Everything is perfect...except for that knocking sound in the motor... And now I have the 948 motor out and stripped down to the block and am in need of a knowledgeable machine shop up in this corner of the country---anywhere from Vancouver BC to Seattle to Portland would be terrific.

Any recommendations (or stay-away-froms) would be appreciated. Sorry if I've missed the answer if its already posted---couldn't find anything pertinent with my searches on the forum.

I know a guy in Vancouver. He had a shop build this one. Let me know if you don't find anything closer.

Dang, that blower is bigger than the motor!

https://Autosportseattle.com. These guys are the best for British car machine work in the area. They're a Moss retailer and they guys drive British cars themselves. They have a large inventory of parts on hand as well.

Another good shop is Action Machine in Shoreline. They used to be a small local chain of performance minded auto parts stores with the machine shop in Shoreline, but they have sold off the stores and now are just focused on the machine work. While they are not solely British focused like Autosport, they do good work, have a good reputation, and do know British engines.

I like "Bearing Services" in Portland (Pearl District).
